HOW DO I PREPARE FOR BECOMING A CERTIFIED TAE BO® INSTRUCTOR?

Before you sign-up for a certification camp, you should have a basic understanding of Tae Bo® Fitness and personal experience with our workouts. We would like to encourage everyone to become a certified instructor. Tae Bo® Fitness is based on Martial Arts techniques combined with mental and physical strength, so dedication and practice are required. Certified Tae Bo® Fitness Instructors are taught to teach and instill the building blocks to achieve Physical, Mental, and Spiritual awareness in their students, which is something they can use in everyday life, not just during class. The techniques you learn in Tae Bo® Fitness as a student should help you prepare for any of the certification courses we offer. Before you get certified, please look over all of the Instructor Rules, Regulations, and Policies, including the information on Personal Trainers Insurance. For liability reasons, we reccomend that Tae Bo® Fitness Instructors have personal trainer insurance. If you do not have insurance, but would like it, you can purchase it here. If you choose to purchase insurance, please make sure that you have BG Star Productions, Inc. listed as ‘additionally insured’ on your insurance policy. Please Note: All Certified Elite Instructors are required to submit verification they are covered by a Personal Trainer Insurance Policy.

WHAT TO EXPECT AND BRING?

Certification Camps are one full day, eight hours, of hands-on training. You will be immersed in the World of Tae Bo® Fitness. Expect a very fast paced environment that is fun, motivating and challenging. You’ll have the support and encouragement of Certified Tae Bo® Elite Instructors drilling technique’s into you, pushing you to your limits, and you’ll even be brought up to teach a mock class, giving you a sense of what you will experience teaching a group class. These are just a few of the things you’ll be exposed to at a Tae Bo® Fitness Certification Camp. Don’t forget to bring your lightest running/fitness shoes, and of course, your workout clothes. We suggest that you bring a note pad, a pen, and even business cards, as you will want to take notes of what is being taught. Certification Camps aren’t just about learning, they are networking business, situations. In addition, we recommend that you bring your own snacks and water, especially if you have any dietary restrictions, requirements, or special needs.

WE ENCOURAGE ALL CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS AND STUDENTS WHO WISH TO TEST THEMSELVES PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND SPIRITUALLY TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION AND ADVANCE THROUGH THE CLASSES WHILE THEY WAIT FOR THEIR OPPORTUNITY TO TEST FOR A SPECIALITY. MONITORING ILLEGAL TAE BO® INSTRUCTORS

Please take note of the areas highlighted in red on the sample ‘Certified Tae Bo® Instructor Badge’ above.  If an instructor’s badge is expired, appears to be counterfeit, or they are teaching a class that is not listed on their badge, please contact the Tae Bo® Fitness Corporate Office. CONTACT US

All currently Certified Tae Bo® Instructors wear an official Tae Bo® Fitness Instructor Badge that shows their current teaching level(s) and ability.

Students should feel confident their instructors are adequately trained, but our research has revealed this is not always the case. It is important to know the difference between a currently certified instructor and an illegal instructor.

Make sure and ask to see your instructor’s Tae Bo® Fitness Instructor Badge. If they do not have a badge, the certification date has expired, or they are missing the corresponding Tae Bo® Fitness Logo for the class they are teaching, they are unauthorized and illegally teaching Tae Bo® Fitness.

Unfortunately, there are individuals and fitness companies around the world that are teaching “Tae Bo” classes without being properly certified and/or authorized.  Please help us maintain the quality of Tae Bo® Fitness by reporting any illegal and expired instructors and/or companies you come across.
